Use ‘wee’ wisely – Ayesem explains Koti song

There is an ever-growing gap between the latest science about marijuana and the myths surrounding it. Marijuana also known as ‘Wee’ is one of the most abused drugs in the world according to research.

Ghanaian hip life artiste Ayesem has released a latest song titled Koti (Police) which talks about the benefits and usage of Marijuana. In the song, he said marijuana can be smoked as a cigarette, it can be mixed with food and eaten or brewed as tea. He said it boosts energy for work and it gives a sound mind. He said scientific research says it cures Asthma and Cancer.

In an interview with Sammy Flex on Atinka Tv’ entertainment show dubbed Entertainment City two weeks ago, Ayesem’s new song Koti (Police) was used as a case study during the discussion. During the interview, Ayesem said it is a confession a fan made and as a creative person, he researched and that is how come he wrote this song.

He added Kofi Annan has spoken about the legalization of weed. So, I sat down and asked myself why these renowned people want the legalization of the herb. I did my research and realized that the right proportion should be put into consideration and not abuse it, especially the youth. I think most of the youth are abusing the drug and what I said in the song is that people shouldn’t abuse the drug that is why at the end of the video it is written ‘Say no to drug abuse’. We have advantages of the herb so they can use it wisely and that is what I want to say in the song.

“Using the herb doesn’t necessarily mean smoking; we have ways of using the herb since smoking is not legalized in Ghana it can be used in different ways,” Ayesem explained. “According to my research, I know the herb cures so many diseases when they use it in the right proportion and not smoking” he noted. When Sammy Flex asked if he has used the herb before, He said he has never smoked before but used it when he was at the secondary/ senior high school.
