We have heard of several schools for the rich and influential off the continent of Africa. However, Harvard and Oxford are not the only super expensive schools for the rich that are available.

There are some schools in Africa, which serve as learning institutions for the super rich elite of the continent.

These schools are in major African cities and are quickly becoming playgrounds exclusively for the wealthy. Below is a list of them:

1. Africa Leadership Academy, South Africa

Its annual tuition fee on average is $30,000, about N10 million. The African Leadership Academy is a residential, secondary institution located in the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is dedicated to 16 to 19-year-olds from Africa and the rest of the world, with alumni from 45 countries currently.

2. International School of Kenya

With an annual tuition fee of about $26,000, about N9 million on average, International School of Kenya is still one of the most sought after schools in Africa.

It is an international school for pre-kindergarten to grade 12 located on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya.

3. Lincoln Community School, Ghana

Lincoln Community School is a private school in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. It is a non-profit, college-preparatory, international school.

The $24,000, about N8 million tuition school, prides itself on its ability to send its graduates to some of the best schools of higher education around the world.

4. Cairo American College, Egypt

The $24,000 about N8 million is the school of choice for Cairo’s elite and its expatriate community, a pre-K-12 international American school located in Maadi, Cairo, Egypt. It caters mainly to dependents of the local American embassy and other international students.

5. Malvern College, Egypt

The $19,000 about N6 million tuition college is relatively new in Cairo but it is finding its place among the elite. The college offers a friendly and student-centred learning environment.

At $18,000 which is about N8.4 million tuition fee, it is South Africa’s most prestigious, private boarding school for boys and one of the oldest schools in Africa.

7. Roedean School, South Africa

Roedean School is a private day and boarding school for girls located in Parktown, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. At $17,000, about N6 million tuition fee, it caters to the daughters of the rich and powerful.

8. American International School, Nigeria

At an average of $17,000, about N6 million annual tuition, this school caters to the wealthy ones of Nigeria.

9. Nairobi Rosslyn Academy, Kenya

Rosslyn Academy is a private Christian school in Gigiri, Nairobi, Kenya. It is an international, coed, day school with a North American curriculum and classes from preschool to twelfth grade with a $15,000, about N5 million annual fee.
