Multiple award-winning Reggae/Dancehall artiste known in real life as Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy has donated an undisclosed amount of money to an amputee patient.
Stonebwoy, made this donation over the weekend at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The ‘Pull-Up’ hit maker who was once a victim in that situation, said it was part of his responsibility to care for people who have gone through such accidents “because I have been a victim of that himself too:”.
According to the patient, “after my amputation, I listened to your music which gave me hope. I just can’t hide this truth. God bless you and lift you higher”.
Earlier, in an interview on an Accra- based radio station, Hitz FM, with Anita Ampomah, the dancehall artiste talked about his foundation Livingston Foundation that has been in existence since 2014 though it has not been officially launched.
The foundation he said will support the bills of those that have been disabled one way or the other by accidents, especially orthopedic cases.
Orthopedics is a medical specialty concerned with correction of deformities or functional impairments of the skeletal system.
“Up until this point in life, I can never forget where I came from and although I don’t have it all to give, I always make an effort to hand in the little that I can give to ones who deserve it”.
Stonebwoy has begun 2017 with a new single “Enkulenu” already, subtitled, “Eyes On You.”
The superstar dropped the song barely a week ago.
