The draw for the final phase of the 30th edition of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations, Equatorial Guinea 2015 has been held and the Blackstars of Ghana finds itself in what many have classified a “challenging” group.
Drawn in Group C, Ghana faces stiff opposition from Algeria, South Africa, Senegal.
Ghana will play the opening game of the group against Senegal.
Host country Equatorial Guinea finds itself in Group A with Burkina Faso, Gabon, Congo. The colourful event was held at the Sipopo Convention Centre in the Equatorial Guinea capital, Malabo.

Group A – Equatorial Guinea, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Congo (Bata)
Group B – Zambia, Tunisia, Cape Verde, DR Congo (Ebibeyin)
Group C – Ghana, Algeria, South Africa, Senegal (Mongomo)
Group D – Cote D’Ivoire, Mali, Cameroon, Guinea (Malabo)
125 matches were played during qualifiers with Burkina Faso’s striker Jonathan Pitroipa winning top scorer with 6 goals.
The final tournament will be held from 17 January to 8 February 2015 in four cities namely Bata, Malabo, Mongomo and Ebibeyin.
